Shameless event promo.

Don't read this if you only care about food. But do read this if you're in Dublin Ireland the first weekend in August and you like classic cars, hotrods, girls or guys, bikes and awesome music!

Poster design by Ollie Sweetman of FTW Design.

Following on from the success of last years first annual Goonz Stomp in the Swamp which combined the musical talents of the infamous Mr. T Bone Kelly, vintage cars, custom bikes, Shamrocker pin striping and guest DJs including Gar Cummins of Skeleton Crew and DJ Al 'Boxface' Burke to make a night to remember, the Stomp has returned for another year of cars, girls, barbecuing and mayhem.

This year's Stomp in the Swamp will boast an even bigger selection of pre-70s classic and custom cars, bikes, guest DJs and bands. The Goonz are also proud to announce that this year's headlining band are The Bonnevilles. The Stomp is a must see event for any hot-rod, greaser or rockabilly enthusiast.

The Bonnevilles play a heady mix of blues, rock, punk, grunge, rockabilly and surf. But don't let their two man line up fool you, although their music is technically 'stripped down' their sound is huge and they'll tell you everything you need to know with volume, hot rods and naked pin up girls.

They are currently on tour in Europe and have played before with T-Model Ford, Bob Log III, The Black Diamond Heavies, Kid Congo, The Reverned Beatman, Scott H Biram and The Bassholes to name a few. Which has earned them a reputation as the best live band in Ireland. So don't miss out on your chance to see The Bonnevilles live!

The Stomp will be held in Ringcommons Sports Centre, Ballbriggin off Juntion 5 on the M1. August 6th from 5pm. Food & drink as well as on site camping available. Admission €10 or €5 with a pre-1970s car, payable on the day.

For more details email or contact the Goonz Ireland CC through facebook.

P.S. For those of you who might be wondering why am I interested in a hot rod club and shamelessly advertising an event of there's on my blog. Well simple answer is, I'm engaged to their Treasurer. ;D
